We come together at 12 p.m., Saturday, June 20, as East Tennessee communities to celebrate World Refugee Day: Together at Home. Thanks to our partners, volunteers and wonderful refugee community, you will have the chance to experience the local diversity and contributions refugees make in a unique way. There will be client stories, language lessons, fashion and music. Learn to make a dish with a Colombian chef, take a Rwandan drumming lesson, watch a movie or read a book documenting the refugee experience, advocate for refugees locally and nationally, and support refugee resettlement happening right now in Knoxville and Chattanooga. And of course—We. Must. Dance. All from the comfort of your home. Together.

Ready to celebrate?

Order your World Refugee Day meal today: Reserve a delicious meal made by Yassin’s Falafel in Knoxville (you can also order an extra meal to be delivered to a single-mom refugee family) and Jinan’s Kitchen in Chattanooga, hosted by Mad Priest on Cherry Street (Jinan’s Kitchen meals are now SOLD OUT).
